Founder, Shareholder, CEO

​

Richard Larsen is the founding shareholder of Larsen Slaten, PLLC. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in 1983 and his Juris Doctorate from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1987. Mr. Larsen has been a member of the Illinois Bar since 1987 and the Florida Bar since 1989. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and the Northern District of Illinois.


Mr. Larsen began his career as litigation counsel for the Kemper Group of insurance and financial services in Chicago, Illinois. In 1989 he relocated to Florida and joined a team that became early pioneers of community association legal practice in central Florida. He has extensive legal experience in community association law, as well as real property, construction, corporate and commercial law and related litigation. He is active in the community association arena both locally and statewide and has served as a Board Member and past President of the Community Association Institute (“CAI”), Mid-Florida Chapter.


Mr. Larsen holds the highest peer review rating of AV Preeminent from Martindale Hubbell. As a lecturer, Richard Larsen has had the opportunity to provide education on Community Association legal topics to association board members and managers throughout Florida.
